This article will briefly cover: The article will describe what makes the differential evolution (DE) algorithm unique as well as highlight those aspects that DE shares with other evolutionary optimizers. The article will also include the history of the algorithm and describe its domain of application, including both constrained and multi-objective optimization. A detailed description of one or more versions of the algorithm will be provided.
