György Vaszil (b. September 20, 1968) is a researcher at the Computer and Automation Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
He received his Ph.D. (2001) in mathematics and his M.Sc. (1994) in mathematics and computer science from the Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest, Hungary.
His scientific merits have been recognized on various occasions. He was awarded with the research fellowship of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (2005 – 2006) and with the Bolyai Janos research scholarship of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (2001 - 2004). Apart from his numerous scientific publications, he has been member of the program committees of several conferences and worked in different national and international research projects.
His research interests include formal languages, automata theory, and nature motivated computing models and architectures.
